Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Schedule: Full-Time 12-hour Day Shifts

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, stabilization, and continuous monitoring of emergency patients
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams during emergency interventions and patient transitions
• Prepare and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Emergency Department
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Adhere to infection prevention, isolation, and safety protocols
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and hospital policy
• Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Attend required staff meetings and continuing education
• Float to other units or locations as needed to support patient care and staffing needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Emergency Department RN Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required, BSN preferred
• Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Emergency Department, ICU, Telemetry, or related acute care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS strongly preferred, ENPC may be accepted in place of PALS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
