Talent Precision Group is proud to be partnering with an international client to recruit a Accounting Team Lead for their Amsterdam-based finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership position, overseeing cross-border accounting operations for the Netherlands and Belgium, in a high-performing and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

You’ll oversee the financial accounting operations for NL and BE entities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient month-end and year-end close, while leading and developing a cross-country accounting team (team of 5) :


  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statements and reconciliations
  • Supervise and coach a cross-country accounting team, fostering collaboration and high performance
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and prepare high-quality documentation for internal and external audits
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, payroll accounting, and consolidations
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including automation initiatives using tools such as Power BI and Google Suite
  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, and Tax teams to meet statutory and management reporting requirements


Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) or actively working toward qualification
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP
  • Proven experience leading accounting processes, including close cycles and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and financial tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across teams
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset
