Estimator & Pre-Production Coordinator - Residential Remodeling

Are you ready to be the backbone of smooth project execution? Do you thrive on details, timelines, and turning design dreams into reality? Are you the person who can juggle multiple moving parts while keeping your cool? Are you someone who takes pride in getting orders right the first time, every time? If you're nodding yes, we want to hear from you!

Patrick A Finn Ltd Custom Homes and Remodeling is looking for an Estimator & Pre-Production Coordinator who can bridge the gap between design and production—someone who loves the satisfaction of seeing a project go from estimate to installation flawlessly.

About Patrick A. Finn Ltd Custom Homes and Remodeling

For over 30 years, Patrick A Finn Ltd Custom Homes and Remodeling has been delivering exceptional craftsmanship and superior customer service to homeowners throughout the Chicago area. We specialize in full-scale residential remodels with an average project size of around $350K, bringing old-world Irish craftsmanship into modern homes with meticulous attention to detail.

Our team of 8 dedicated professionals lives by four core values: Integrity, Passion, Craftsmanship, and Superior Customer Service. We're a fun, sassy, family-focused company where quick wit and sarcasm are part of our daily language—but so is genuinely having each other's backs. We believe in being better, not bigger, focusing on quality and personalized service rather than just growing our numbers.

We're proud of our Irish heritage and old-world craftsmanship approach, and we're building a team for the long haul—people who want to be along for the ride as we continue to grow and evolve over the next several years.

This position will work closely with our Designer, Production Manager and Business Development person to keep projects running efficiently, on schedule, and within our defined margins.

  • Production Coordination
  • Maintain complete project documentation in physical binders and CoConstruct

  • Apply for building permits, coordinate deliveries, and support the Production Manager with scheduling
  • Create purchase orders, finalize project details, and transition clients through Warranty phase

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in construction estimating, pre-construction coordination, or related field (residential remodeling experience strongly preferred)
