Summary of Responsibilities

As our Design Build Project Consultant, you'll be the first point of contact for homeowners ready to transform their spaces. You'll meet them in their homes, understand their dreams and needs, educate them on our design-build process, and guide them from the initial meeting through to completion of the project. From there, you'll collaborate with our design, estimating, and production teams to ensure we exceed the client’s expectations and our company standards. You're not just selling—you're building trust and lasting relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate Leads: Attend networking events, build relationships with Realtors and architects, and proactively create opportunities. 
  • Conduct In-Home Consultations: Meet with potential clients, assess their needs, and present KGT's process. 
  • Close Design Agreements: Guide clients through the initial phase and collect retainers. 
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with designers, estimators, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Manage Your Pipeline: Use Salesforce and BuilderTrend to track leads, follow-ups, and project progress. 
  • Nurture Relationships: Stay connected with past clients, ask for referrals, and maintain long-term connections. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in design-build, remodeling, real estate, or high-end construction 
  • A natural relationship-builder—patient, personable, and trustworthy 
  • Self-motivated with a "hunter" mentality—you don't wait for the phone to ring 
  • Organized and tech-savvy—comfortable with CRM tools (Salesforce is a plus) 
  • Humble and coachable—open to learning our proven sales process (the "cookbook") 

Compensation

  • Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission 
  • Total Target Compensation: $100,000+ in the first year
