Summary of Responsibilities

The Field Engineer is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for the end-to-end execution of Pipeline Conditioning’s projects. This includes managing project logistics, performing equipment installation and operation, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. The position requires up to 60% travel and offers the flexibility to live anywhere in the U.S. near a major airport. 

Essential Functions

  • Install & Operate Equipment – Set up, run, and troubleshoot specialized field equipment on-site. 
  • Lead Hands-On Work – Handle everything from equipment setup to daily operation, gas sampling, and data logging. 
  • Manage Your Own Logistics – Book your travel, coordinate field crews, and arrange equipment shipments—all with a company credit card. 
  • Own Safety – Use stop-work authority when needed. Follow DOT, Hazmat, and PHMSA regulations. Maintain your medical card and a clean driving record. 
  • Communicate Like a Pro – Give clear daily updates to clients and leadership. Keep accurate records and reports. 
  • Travel & Adapt – Be ready to work in all kinds of weather and environments. Travel is part of the job (50–60% of the year), and you'll be equipped with company-provided PPE. 

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • BS in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering 
  • 2+ years of hands-on, field-based experience in oilfield services (e.g., Frac, Wireline, Mud) or a related heavy industry. 
  • Proven ability to trace piping and valve lineups and troubleshoot mechanical systems. 
  • Strong safety background and mechanical aptitude 
  • Physically able to work on rough terrain, lift tools, and travel 50-60% of the year. 
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record, US work authorization 

Compensation 

  • $106,000 - $126,000 in estimated annual cash compensation. 
  • Earn significant additional cash bonuses for field work and annual performance. 
  • 10% Company Retirement Contribution 
  • A monthly stipend for your medical, dental, and vision plans 
  • Company credit card for all travel expenses  
  • Stipend for cell phone and internet services 
  • Company sponsored procurement of PPE (including Rx protection)
