Summary of Responsibilities 

As an Interior Designer & Project Leader, you’ll lead projects from concept through construction—blending creative design with strong project ownership and client communication. 


A key part of this role is owning the financial side of projects. You’ll build and present project budgets, gather pricing from vendors and trade partners, and confidently guide homeowners through costs. This requires comfort with numbers and Excel, along with the ability to “wear a sales hat”—helping clients understand the impact of design decisions and make informed investment choices. 


We’re looking for a driven, well-rounded designer who is Hungry, Humble, and Smart—someone who takes initiative, collaborates well, and communicates with clarity and emotional intelligence to deliver exceptional client experiences 


Essential Functions 


Design & Client Collaboration 

  • Develop creative and functional design concepts for residential remodeling projects. 
  • Create and present 2D/3D renderings, elevations, and material selections to clients. 
  • Guide clients through the selection process for finishes, cabinetry, fixtures, and more. 
  • Utilize JobTread to organize selections, ensure approvals, and manage ordering. 
  • Conduct site visits to stay engaged with project progress. 


Project Management & Coordination 

  • Lead projects from design through construction, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. 
  • Collaborate with sales, design, construction, and administrative teams for smooth execution. 
  • Manage permits, documentation, and trade coordination, and quality control 
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients. 


Process & Team Development 

  • Maintain and update showroom displays, design libraries, and selection centers. 
  • Evaluate and implement design software and industry best practices. 
  • Assist in mentoring and training new team members. 


Education, Experience, and Skills  

  • 7+ years of experience in interior design 
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design 
  • Experience with residential design + build is preferred  
  • Proficiency in software such as Chief Architect, JobTread, 2020 Design or similar tools 
  • Proficiency in 3D drafting software 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with clients and project teams. 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Certification in NKBA (CBD,CKD) 


Compensation  

  • 90-110k salary plus incentives (based on experience)
