Inside Sales Representatives, Fiber and Electrical Materials

Location: On site in Sarasota, FL


A growing infrastructure materials organization is adding an Inside Sales Representative to help support expanding demand across fiber, electrical, and project-based supply channels. This is a high impact opportunity for someone who enjoys solving material challenges, moving quickly on customer needs, and working at the center of quoting, sourcing, coordination, and follow through. The team is looking for a hands-on professional who can help customers keep projects moving by bringing urgency, organization, and strong commercial instincts to every request.

 

This position supports customers and project teams that need timely answers on pricing, availability, alternates, and delivery expectations for material driven opportunities. The person in this seat will work across customer service, inside sales, supplier communication, and sourcing activity to help move requests from inquiry through quote support and order coordination.

 

What You Will Do

  • Support inbound customer requests tied to fiber, electrical, utility, and infrastructure related materials.
  • Build and manage quotes by reviewing scope details, pricing inputs, availability, substitutions, and delivery expectations.
  • Review BOMs, RFQs, specifications, and customer requirements to help develop accurate and timely responses.
  • Coordinate with supplier partners and internal stakeholders to identify product options, confirm lead times, and resolve sourcing challenges.
  • Communicate with customers regarding quote status, product updates, timing changes, and next steps.
  • Help keep multiple jobs, bid opportunities, and follow ups organized in a fast moving sales environment.
  • Work closely with sales, purchasing, and operations contacts to improve responsiveness and support project execution.
  • Bring a solution oriented mindset to material shortages, alternate recommendations, and customer deadlines.

 

Preferred Background

  • Experience in inside sales, sales support, quoting, sourcing, purchasing, or customer service within materials, construction, electrical, telecom, utility, or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following product environments, fiber optic materials, broadband products, OSP items, electrical distribution materials, utility products, T and D related hardware, steel components, or broader infrastructure supply.
  • Ability to interpret BOMs, RFQs, specifications, pricing details, lead times, alternates, and delivery requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, follow through, and multitasking skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can shift and responsiveness matters.
  • A practical approach to problem solving and customer support.
