Sales Account Manager, Industrial Packaging

Location: Remote, United States – preference for those in the Midwest or Central U.S.

Travel: Up to 50 percent


A growing industrial solutions organization is looking for a relationship driven sales professional to expand key customer partnerships and win new business across a strategic packaging portfolio. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys consultative selling, building long term accounts, and working across internal teams to deliver practical, high value solutions for customers in industrial and manufacturing environments. The role offers the flexibility of a remote setup, meaningful territory ownership, and strong visibility into revenue growth initiatives.


What You Will Do

  • Build and grow a book of business within industrial packaging and related B2B markets.
  • Develop new customer relationships while expanding existing accounts through consistent outreach, strategic follow up, and solution-based selling.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, quoting, implementation support, and ongoing account development.
  • Create strong partnerships with customers by understanding operational needs, service expectations, and commercial priorities.
  • Work closely with internal teams across sales, operations, customer support, and technical resources to align solutions with customer requirements.
  • Lead account planning activities for priority customers and maintain clear action plans to support retention and growth.
  • Maintain visibility into pipeline activity, forecasting, territory plans, and project updates.
  • Support pricing discussions, supply agreements, and other commercial terms that balance customer value with business profitability.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, presentations, and product education sessions to strengthen engagement and identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor account health, including inventory programs, order flow, and other business factors that affect customer success.
  • Submit timely updates related to opportunities, reporting, and business expenses.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in account management, business development, or territory sales within packaging, manufacturing, or another industrial B2B setting.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and manage customer relationships with a high degree of ownership and follow through.
  • Experience supporting both new business efforts and growth within established accounts.
  • Comfort discussing specifications, pricing, service expectations, and implementation timelines with customers and internal partners.
  • Strong organization skills, including pipeline management, territory planning, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM and ERP platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar systems.
  • Spanish language skills are highly valued.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support customer visits and business development activity.
