Quality Engineer 

A growing manufacturer is adding a Quality Engineer to help strengthen product performance, solve complex production issues, and elevate quality across a high visibility mechanical manufacturing environment. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys hands on problem solving, cross functional collaboration, and turning data into action. The right person will play a key role in improving reliability, supporting continuous improvement, and helping a production organization build smarter, more repeatable quality processes.

Focus: 

  • Drive investigations into product and process failures, identify underlying causes, and help lead durable corrective actions 
  • Review quality trends and operating data to uncover recurring issues, prioritize risk, and support improvement efforts 
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to resolve nonconformances and strengthen overall performance 
  • Develop containment plans and follow through on corrective and preventive actions to reduce repeat problems 
  • Monitor action effectiveness, confirm closure, and help ensure process changes are sustained over time 
  • Support validation activities, inspection methods, and practical quality tools used in production 
  • Build and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and other quality documentation that improves consistency on the manufacturing floor 
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders across multiple functions 

 

Skill Set: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related field 
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective action in a manufacturing setting 
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate findings into practical next steps 
  • Experience creating SOPs, work instructions, and quality documentation 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams 
  • Background in mechanical manufacturing, industrial production, automotive, aerospace, or a similar environment is strongly preferred
