Civil Site Design Professional

A rapidly growing multidisciplinary team is hiring a Civil Site Development Professional to assist with the design and execution of land development projects throughout the full project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys turning land development challenges into practical, buildable solutions while working alongside engineering, design, and project stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Civil 3D expertise, a strong understanding of site grading and stormwater design principles, and a proactive approach to project contributions beyond technical drafting.
What You Will Do
- Create detailed site development drawings and construction plan packages for land development initiatives utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist with grading, drainage, utility, erosion control, and stormwater design tasks under the guidance of experienced engineering professionals
- Prepare design computations and provide engineering support for site development projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, functionality, and buildability goals.
- Review site information, identify constraints, and help organize design inputs that support permitting and project execution
- Coordinate with internal and external project partners across engineering, architecture, development, construction, and consulting teams
- Participate in project discussions to help keep deliverables aligned with schedule, quality expectations, and overall design intent
- Contribute to a team environment that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous development
What You Bring
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D in a civil, land development, or site design environment
- Knowledge of site engineering concepts, including earthwork design, stormwater management, and land development practices.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and apply technical reasoning to site design work
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools in a professional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline preferred.
- Two or more years of related experience preferred
- EIT certification strongly preferred
- LEED AP designation is a plus
