Senior Accounting Manager
A PE-backed global SaaS company is entering a critical phase of growth and integration following a major acquisition. This role works directly with global finance leadership and offers exposure to international reporting, cross-border collaboration, and large-scale finance transformation initiatives. Backed by private investors and moving through a major integration chapter, the business is investing in stronger reporting, cleaner controls, and a more scalable US finance foundation. This newly established position provides an opportunity to influence financial operations, regulatory oversight, technology initiatives, and international collaboration efforts while acting as a primary finance leader for the U.S. business.
Austin-centered role with remote flexibility now, and a hybrid target of about two days per week once the new office opens.
What You Will Do
- Lead accounting oversight for US entities, with a strong focus on close quality, balance sheet accuracy, reconciliations, and local reporting support.
- Build practical processes that improve statutory compliance, audit readiness, documentation standards, and overall finance discipline.
- Partner closely with international finance leaders to align US accounting activity with broader reporting timelines, policies, and business priorities.
- Evaluate the current state of sales tax and nexus obligations, then help shape a more scalable approach with advisors and automation support.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including ERP-related process improvement and stronger reporting workflows.
- Act as a trusted finance resource for US stakeholders by bringing responsiveness, sound judgment, and a business-minded perspective.
- Help strengthen a function that is moving from highly manual, people-dependent processes toward a more structured and scalable operating model.
- Serve as a key finance leader helping build the long-term US finance infrastructure for a rapidly growing organization.
What You Bring
- Strong experience in US GAAP, financial reporting, and controllership-oriented accounting work.
- Ability to support audits and work confidently with external partners and advisors.
- Background in SaaS, software, or other recurring revenue environments is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to ERP implementations, systems improvement, or finance transformation work.
- Working knowledge of US sales tax, nexus, or indirect tax compliance.
- CPA strongly preferred, though other relevant accounting credentials may be considered.
- Comfort operating independently in a high-ownership individual contributor role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance leadership based in Europe.
