Inside Sales Manager – Fiber and Electrical Materials

Location: On-site in Sarasota, FL


A growing supplier serving broadband, utility, electrical, and infrastructure markets is adding an Inside Sales Manager to help strengthen customer support, speed quoting activity, and build more structure across a high demand materials business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands project-based material sales and enjoys operating at the center of customer communication, sourcing, vendor coordination, and quote execution. The right person will have the chance to make an immediate impact while helping shape a more scalable inside sales function for the future.


The Inside Sales Manager will support customers and internal teams across fiber optic, electrical, and related infrastructure material categories. This person will help manage incoming opportunities, review customer requirements, develop quotes, coordinate sourcing, and keep projects moving with urgency and accuracy. The role is well suited for a hands-on professional who can balance daily execution with process improvement and future team development.


What You Will Do

  • Lead inside sales activity for customer inquiries, pricing requests, and project material packages tied to fiber and electrical products.
  • Review BOMs, takeoffs, RFQs, and customer requirements to develop accurate quotations and sourcing strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal partners on pricing, availability, lead times, substitutions, and delivery planning.
  • Support contractor, utility, broadband, and infrastructure customers with product guidance and responsive follow up.
  • Manage multiple opportunities at once while maintaining quote accuracy and clear communication.
  • Help establish repeatable workflows, quote tracking methods, and service standards for a growing team.
  • Bring market awareness across fiber optic, broadband, utility, electrical, construction, or industrial materials.
  • Contribute to future team development through process improvement, training support, and operational structure.


Ideal Background

  • Experience in inside sales, sales support, sourcing, purchasing, quoting, or customer support.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic, electrical, utility, telecom, industrial, construction, or infrastructure materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities, sourcing initiatives, and quote requests simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, organization, urgency, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in building process, structure, and future team capabilities.


Preferred Strengths

  • Exposure to broadband, OSP, utility, T and D, or electrical distribution environments.
  • Confidence working with product lists, specifications, alternates, lead times, and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast moving, growth-oriented business.
  • Interest in helping create stronger internal systems and supporting future team expansion.
