Enterprise Applications Operations Manager 


A financially strong, purpose-driven enterprise seeks an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of ERP and business-critical applications supporting manufacturing, finance, retail, and customer experiences. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, this role leads a small team and serves as the key liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and vendors, driving efficient service delivery, SOX-compliant change management, and continuous improvement.

Key Objectives 

  • Stabilize & scale critical ERP, finance, and manufacturing systems as the business grows. 
  • Reduce ticket backlogs and improve SLA attainment through rigorous triage, root-cause analysis, and knowledge-base maturity. 
  • Enhance operational oversight across issue resolution and system updates while contributing to resilience planning and continuity preparedness. 
  • Mentor and develop application-support staff, fostering a proactive, customer-first culture. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Ensure uptime and performance across on-prem, mainframe, and cloud applications 
  • Oversee incoming support requests, coordinate high-priority issue response, and investigate underlying causes of system problems 
  • Onboard systems, assign ownership, and enforce security/configuration standards 
  • Monitor KPIs and user satisfaction, driving continuous improvement and resiliency 
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical systems 
  • Prioritize enhancements and ensure SOX-compliant change management processes 
  • Maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge base resources 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors, managing SLAs, budgets, and communication 

Key Applications Supported 

Systems may include (not exhaustive): Deacom v17, Lasso, Great Plains, KPA, Stampli, Blackline, AuditBoard, SSRS/Power BI, and EDI/integration tools such as SSIS and ANSI X12. 


Required Qualifications 

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing environments, including multiple years in a leadership capacity guiding teams. 
  • Deep experience supporting ERP, finance, CRM, or manufacturing systems in complex environments. 
  • Deep knowledge of information architecture, interoperability, platform infrastructure, and application safeguarding principles. 
  • Proven track record with ITIL frameworks (incident, problem, change) and SOX or similar regulatory controls. 
  • Stellar communication skills bridging technical and business audiences. 



Preferred Extras 

  • ERP integrations, migrations, or cloud-to-on-prem modernization projects. 
  • Reporting/BI know-how (Power BI, SSRS) and basic SQL. 
  • Background in manufacturing, finance, or other operations-heavy industries.
