Our client is adding to a specialized engineering team that supports complex electronics production, product readiness, and customer facing technical problem solving. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands on process work but also wants broader influence across engineering, manufacturing, and external partner support. The role offers meaningful visibility, a mix of technical depth and collaboration, and the chance to help improve how advanced electronic products move from concept into successful assembly.

This Role Offers

Competitive compensation, relocation support, and the opportunity to join a stable team working on challenging assembly and manufacturability issues. This role is well suited for an engineer who wants to combine process expertise, technical communication, and cross functional impact in a highly visible environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support process improvement efforts tied to SMT and broader PCB assembly performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvement efforts, resolve technical challenges, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Provide practical guidance on topics such as solder application, component placement, thermal processing, inspection approaches, and rework planning.
  • Assist with issue resolution for internal teams and external partners by translating technical problems into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to new product readiness activities by helping define assembly guidance, process expectations, and supporting documentation.
  • Review technical materials related to product processing and assembly requirements.
  • Prepare concise written guidance, technical summaries, and process recommendations for a range of audiences.
  • Apply sound engineering judgment across the full assembly environment, with awareness of how process choices affect quality, reliability, and downstream production.

Preferred Background

  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex manufacturing, production, or technical operations within a highly regulated, precision-driven, or process-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of solder related processes, print and placement fundamentals, thermal profiles, inspection methods, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work through process issues in a structured way and communicate recommendations clearly.
  • Comfort supporting technical conversations with internal teams and customer facing stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills, sound organization, and consistent follow through.
  • Working familiarity with process control concepts and common electronics manufacturing standards.
  • Engineering degree preferred, though comparable experience in a closely related environment will also be considered.
