Event Sales
Location: On site in Berkeley, CA
A growing event services organization is expanding its commercial team in the East Bay and is looking for a polished, high-energy sales professional to help accelerate new business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on relationship building, enjoys being in the field, and wants to turn industry connections into meaningful revenue growth. The team is backed by an established operation, strong earning potential, and a business that continues to invest in expansion across key California markets.
What You Will Do
- Build and grow relationships with corporate, hospitality, venue, and experiential clients throughout the East Bay and greater Bay Area
- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and first outreach through proposal development, negotiation, and close
- Generate new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, referrals, face to face meetings, and follow up with inbound interest
- Develop a strong understanding of service offerings so you can recommend solutions that align with client goals, timelines, and budgets
- Create long-term client partnerships by delivering a high level of responsiveness, service, and follow through
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, account expansion, and added services within existing relationships
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to execution and maintain a strong customer experience
- Track account activity, pipeline movement, and revenue progress in CRM and operational systems
- Stay current on market activity, buyer preferences, pricing trends, and regional event demand
What You Bring
- 3+ years of outside sales, business development, or account growth experience
- Strong background in events, hospitality, catering, venues, destination management, hotel group sales, or related service environments
- Confidence building business through prospecting, relationship development, and consultative selling
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow up skills
- A self-directed approach with the ability to manage territory activity independently
- Customer first mindset and a track record of turning service into repeat revenue
- Comfort working with CRM tools and sales tracking systems
- High integrity, strong organization, and a results-oriented mindset
