Join a growth-stage manufacturer that designs and delivers cutting-edge modular facilities for highly regulated, mission-critical environments. You will be the in-house HVAC authority, steering projects from napkin sketch through stamped construction documents while mentoring a small but mighty team. Your work keeps medical, advanced-manufacturing, and research customers operating at peak performance - and gives you a front-row seat to the future of clean-technology infrastructure.
This Role Offers:
- Impact. Own the HVAC discipline for breakthrough modular facilities changing the way critical environments are delivered.
- Growth. Chart a clear path to Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager as the technical team scales.
- Culture. Values-driven organization that prizes initiative, collaboration, and doing the right thing - every time.
- Competitive package. Market-leading salary, performance bonus, robust health benefits, 401(k) match, and generous PTO.
-
Focus:
- Lead mechanical and HVAC design efforts for specialized modular environments, ensuring performance, airflow, and environmental control requirements are met.
- Develop and validate engineering calculations including load analysis, airflow dynamics, and system performance metrics.
- Oversee creation and coordination of BIM models, ensuring integration across architectural and MEP systems with minimal design conflicts.
- Review and approve internal engineering packages, confirming alignment with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Partner with fabrication teams and conduct site visits to verify installations meet engineered designs and quality expectations.
- Evaluate vendor submittals and respond to technical inquiries, ensuring all external inputs align with project requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of internal designs and proprietary components through modeling, testing, and analysis.
- Act as the primary technical resource for cross-functional teams, translating complex engineering concepts into actionable direction.
Skill Set:
- 5+ years in mechanical design for HVAC systems within controlled or regulated environments (cleanrooms, healthcare, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related).
- Advanced capability in thermal analysis, airflow modeling, and load calculations (including psychrometrics and fluid dynamics).
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Revit for BIM coordination and SolidWorks for detailed component modeling and validation.
- Deep understanding of environmental control systems, including filtration (HEPA/ULPA), pressurization, and air balancing.
- Experience ensuring designs meet strict regulatory standards (ISO cleanroom, medical, or similar compliance frameworks).
- Ability to lead full-cycle engineering from concept through stamped construction documents and field validation.
