Plant Finance and Accounting Manager

A growing manufacturer is looking for a Plant Finance and Accounting Manager to help shape financial performance at a high impact production site. This is a visible leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, influencing plant decisions, and turning financial insights into operational improvements. The right person will bring strong manufacturing finance experience, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to partner with site leadership to drive accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do
- Lead plant level accounting and finance activities, including monthly close, forecasting, annual planning, and performance reporting
- Translate financial and operating results into practical insights for plant leadership and cross functional partners
- Monitor key cost drivers across labor, materials, spending, inventory, and overhead, then identify opportunities to improve results
- Guide budgeting and reforecasting activities to support business planning and changing production demands
- Prepare variance analysis and management reporting that helps explain results against plan and prior expectations
- Support capital planning and help evaluate site investments, resource needs, and operational priorities
- Partner with operations leaders to strengthen cost visibility, improve plant efficiency, and address performance gaps
- Maintain standard cost practices and support a disciplined approach to product costing and margin analysis
- Strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and reporting consistency at the site level
- Oversee inventory accuracy efforts, including cycle count follow up and related financial impact review
- Support working capital management through attention to receivables, payables, and broader cash considerations
- Lead, coach, and develop local accounting or administrative staff while promoting accountability and teamwork
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to plant leadership and contribute to broader business improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- At least 8 years of accounting or finance experience, including meaningful exposure to manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of plant finance, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Experience partnering with operations leaders in a facility setting
- Ability to lead people, improve processes, and manage competing priorities in a fast moving environment
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly
- Professional certification is helpful but not required
- Spanish language skills are a plus
