Bookkeeper

Salary: Up to $75,000 annually (DOE)
Position Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accurate financial records and smooth business operations. This role supports accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, and month-end close activities, while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Process invoices, apply payments, and follow up on collections as needed
- Support payroll processing and payroll-related reporting
- Maintain vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare financial schedules and reports for management and external accountants
- Assist with audits, tax support, and compliance documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and bookkeeping processes
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Experience with general ledger and journal entries
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with payroll and payroll tax reporting
- Month-end close experience
