Accounting Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations for one of our valued client companies in the Fresno area. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong leadership skills to the table. The right candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and driving process improvements across the accounting function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Manage and mentor a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback

Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses

Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal accounting policies

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit engagements

Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

CPA designation strongly preferred

5 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Experience in public accounting or a mid-to-large corporate environment is a plus
