About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and growing manufacturing company as a Controller. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full accounting process, from month-end close and financial statement preparation to cost accounting and reporting to corporate. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and management reports for the division.
  • Partner with corporate finance to consolidate and report divisional financial results, providing insights into trends and variances.
  • Lead cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard cost updates, variance analysis, and manufacturing overhead tracking.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate and actionable financial data.
  • Maintain internal controls and assist with audit and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and corporate teams to support financial and operational goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed within the division.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or management role.
  • Strong background in cost accounting and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and internal control best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with both plant-level operations and corporate finance teams.
