As part of this growth, the firm is expanding into new markets and is seeking an Assurance Senior Managerto join its Fresno, California office.

Position Overview
The Assurance Senior Manager will play a key leadership role in planning, overseeing, and delivering multiple audit engagements for a diverse client base, with a primary focus on privately held companies across various industries. This position requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients while maintaining high-quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple assurance engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and technical accuracy
- Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships with executive stakeholders
- Provide guidance to clients on accounting, financial reporting, regulatory, and industry-specific risks
- Apply GAAP and GAAS consistently in complex and non-routine situations
- Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues and prepare technical memoranda as needed
- Oversee and evaluate internal control environments, including documentation, testing, and assessment
- Lead, mentor, and develop assurance team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Manage engagement economics, including budgeting, billing, and collections
- Participate in business development, client expansion, and firm growth initiatives
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- MBA or Master’s degree in Accountancy preferred
Experience & Skills
- Extensive external audit experience, preferably with a national or large regional public accounting firm
- Minimum of 10 years of public accounting experience
- Proven supervisory and people leadership experience
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and develop talent
- Executive presence with the ability to present to clients and prospective clients
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and client service skills
- Experience managing engagement profitability and contributing to business development efforts
Licensure
- Active U.S. CPA license required
- International equivalent or approved alternative qualifications may be considered, with the expectation of obtaining a U.S. CPA within an established timeframe
