Salary: Up to $75,000 annually (DOE)


Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing and supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations using ADP. This role handles day-to-day payroll activities, ensures compliance with payroll laws and company policies, and serves as a key point of contact for payroll-related questions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced working in ADP payroll systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll using ADP for hourly and salaried employees
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay changes
  • Review payroll registers and reports for accuracy prior to processing
  • Process payroll tax filings and assist with payroll reconciliations
  • Handle garnishments, benefits deductions, and direct deposit updates
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Support payroll-related reporting and documentation
  • Assist with audits and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency


Qualifications



  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3–5+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Must have hands-on experience processing payroll using ADP
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements
  • Experience reviewing payroll reports and resolving discrepancies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience processing payroll for mid-size or multi-location organizations
  • Experience with payroll audits or year-end reporting
  • Multi-state payroll experience
