The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a premier, national consumer packaged goods (CPG) food and beverage leader to find an experienced Senior Manager of Demand Planning to lead demand forecasting and alignment across Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.


In this critical leadership role, you will own the end-to-end demand forecasting process, drive monthly S&OP cycles, optimize forecasting systems, and mentor a team of demand planners. You will bridge commercial demand signals with operational supply execution to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias.


Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Forecasting & Accuracy: Own the end-to-end demand forecasting process across all product divisions. Develop short- and long-term forecasts while driving continuous improvement programs around forecast accuracy, bias tracking, and root-cause analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Lead monthly S&OP Demand Planning cycles, acting as the central connection point between Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Incorporate promotions, product launches, and commercial campaigns into operational plans.
  • Systems & Capability Building: Own and optimize demand planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Kinaxis, o9, ERP, or BI platforms) and introduce advanced analytics and automation capabilities.
  • People Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 3 demand planners.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report key metrics including forecast accuracy, service levels, and new product launch status while communicating risks and opportunities to leadership.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  • Leadership: 2+ years of direct managerial experience leading demand planning teams.
  • Industry Experience: Consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience required; background with short shelf-life or perishable food/beverage products strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with modern demand planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Kinaxis, o9, or similar ERP platforms) and leading S&OP/IBP cycles.
  • Certifications: APICS or IBF certification is a plus.
