We're seeking a Director of Closing (AKA: The Person Who Actually Gets Deals Done) in Los Angeles, CA. (Hybrid – 3 days in-office, because wires don’t send themselves)


Let’s be real for a second…Anyone can “close a deal” when everything is perfect. We’re looking for the person who can close it when:

  • Title is almost ready
  • Docs are mostly complete
  • And someone just said, “Can we still fund today?” 😅


The Role (Pipeline Closer-in-Chief)

We’re partnering with a growing lending platform that needs a seasoned operator to run Closing, Funding, and Post-Closing like a well-oiled machine. This is the role where:

  • Details matter
  • Speed matters
  • Communication matters
  • And somehow… you make all three happen at once


What You’ll Own

  • Lead and develop the Closing team (hire, train, mentor, repeat)
  • Build processes that make deals move faster without breaking compliance
  • Review and approve loans pre-funding (your sign-off actually means something)
  • Keep a constant pulse on the pipeline — spotting issues before they become fires
  • Be the go-to for leadership when they ask: “Are we funding on time?”
  • Manage relationships with title, escrow, custodians, banks, and buyers
  • Elevate the borrower experience (clear comms, no surprises, no chaos)
  • Scale and optimize Post-Closing operations (because the job doesn’t end at funding)
  • Partner with Originations, Underwriting, Servicing, Compliance, etc. to keep everything flowing
  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and workflows


What Makes You Dangerous (in a good way)

  • 10+ years in real estate / mortgage / lending operations
  • 3+ years leading closing or funding teams
  • Deep knowledge of loan products, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • You don’t wait for problems — you see them coming from a mile away
  • You can manage details and think strategically
  • Strong communicator who can translate “lending chaos” into clear updates
  • Comfortable with Salesforce or similar systems


Bonus Points If You

  • Have experience in private lending
  • Have built or scaled closing processes before
  • Secretly enjoy cleaning up messy pipelines
  • Can keep calm when everyone else is… not


The Details

  • $140K – $150K base + bonus
  • Full-time, exempt
  • Hybrid in Los Angeles (3 days in-office)
