A private equity–backed, multi-location construction company is seeking a CFO to provide financial leadership during a critical transition. The business is profitable, unlevered, and well-positioned for growth, with strong EBITDA performance.


This can be a direct hire or contract/temporary position.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Drive cash flow forecasting to ensure liquidity and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Partner with management and private equity sponsors on strategic initiatives, performance improvement, and cash management.
  • Drive month-end close, variance analysis, and operational KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Oversee banking, audit, and compliance relationships.
  • Support potential M&A, growth investments, and other value-creation initiatives typical in a PE portco environment.


Requirements:

  • Proven CFO (or senior finance leader) experience within construction and/or private equity portfolio companies.
  • Public accounting background
  • Active CPA license
  • Skilled in driving process improvements, systems, and financial discipline in dynamic environments.
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented style with the ability to partner across operations and sponsor teams.


This onsite opportunity in the OC area offers a base salary of up to $350k + a bonus and comprehensive benefits.
