Company & role

This opportunity sits with a digital transformation consultancy in its early growth stage, working across cloud, data and application engineering.

The business is 17 people, turned a profit in its first year and is on track for a multi million pound profit in year two, backed and led by people with a long track record in consulting and strong connections across financial services.

The role blends business analysis with solution consulting and hands on delivery. You will spend most of your time on intelligent automation work, taking client processes from initial discovery through design, build and into production, and you will apply the same analysis skills across other client engagements when needed.

This is an urgent hire driven by client demand, and you will be supported by senior people in the team as you grow into the full breadth of the role.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • You are joining a team of 17 at the point where client demand is outpacing headcount. The work is real, the impact is visible, and you are not a small cog in a big machine.
  • Genuine breadth. Process discovery, requirements, workflow design, estimation, deployment and client enablement all sit with you rather than being split across five different people.
  • Exposure to AI driven and agentic automation on live client engagements, not in a lab or a proof of concept that never ships.
  • Leadership with a proven consulting pedigree and a serious network, which shapes the calibre of client you will be sat in front of.
  • Room to own things properly and shape how the practice delivers as it scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritise client business processes suitable for automation, mapping them where documentation does not already exist
  • Design high level automated workflows and translate them into something deliverable
  • Run requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder workshops across client engagements
  • Estimate effort, resourcing and dependencies for each workflow
  • Work alongside engineers and quality assurance analysts to implement, test and deploy into production
  • Train client teams to monitor and govern newly automated workflows
  • Provide ongoing production support once solutions are live

Ideal Experience

  • Solid grounding in business analysis practice, gained through prior analyst roles, a graduate or analyst programme, or equivalent hands on work
  • Confident documenting business processes and producing clear process maps
  • Strong requirements elicitation and workshop facilitation skills
  • A real interest in technology and how systems are designed, integrated and delivered, with the curiosity to dig into how things actually work
  • Experience in small teams or early stage businesses, where owning outcomes and covering more than one role is the norm
  • Strong communication skills across both business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Self motivated and organised, comfortable running several parallel activities at once
  • Awareness of the considerations specific to AI driven and agentic solutions is useful but not essential
