Refactor. is working with a well-established Melbourne digital agency that runs a serious hosting and infrastructure operation — multi-client environments, Azure/AWS, their own data centre, and a team that actually invests in doing infrastructure properly.

They're looking for a System Administrator with around five years of experience under the belt — ideally someone who's worked in an agency environment and knows what it's like to juggle multiple clients and environments at once.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and maintaining Windows and Azure/AWS hosting environments
• Hands-on physical server work, including visits to the data centre (yes, actual hands on actual hardware)
• DNS management and hosting support for clients
• Monthly patching, backup testing, and security compliance
• Supporting internal staff with assets, app installs, and general IT support across Windows and Mac
• Collaborating with developers and project teams to scope and deliver hosting solutions

What you'll bring:

• 5 years of sysadmin experience, with agency exposure a real plus
• Strong Windows hosting and Microsoft 365 administration
• Azure and/or AWS deployment and support experience
• Proxmox and TrueNAS familiarity
• A genuine security mindset — you think about risk before it becomes a problem
• Great communication skills — clients and colleagues both need to understand you
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload without hand-holding
