Data Analyst – Fully Remote – Financial & Technology Sectors

My client is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team and support data-driven decision-making across Technology, Finance, Operations, and Product. This role is perfect for a self-motivated, analytical thinker who enjoys solving business challenges with data.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Data Automation

• Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards to support business functions
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in data reporting across the organisation
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes

Business Insights & Ad Hoc Analysis

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide actionable insights
• Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover trends and opportunities across key business areas
• Support strategic decision-making with data-backed recommendations

Data Engineering & Analytics Growth

• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and transform data
• Assist in developing scalable data pipelines and workflows
• Gain exposure to analytics engineering, data engineering, and data science over time

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency in SQL – ability to write efficient queries
• Basic knowledge of Python for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with Looker Studio (or similar BI tools) for reporting & visualisation
• Strong Excel skills for quick data analysis
• A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills to translate business needs into analytical solutions
