WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of accounting operations while contributing to broader financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing recurring accounting responsibilities with special projects and cross-functional collaboration.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in accordance with US GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review general ledger activity, investigate discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues independently.
• Prepare financial statements and assist with monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
• Perform budget-to-actual, forecast, and variance analysis, providing clear commentary on key financial trends.
• Manage sales commission and employee bonus calculations, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Payroll, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support the Controller with audits, internal controls, accounting research, and special finance initiatives.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, schedules, and financial models using Excel and Google Sheets.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate accounting and reporting processes using modern tools, including AI where appropriate.

YOU'LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting processes.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and management reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Availability to work with meaningful overlap during US Eastern Time business hours.

NICE TO HAVE

• CPA, CPA-equivalent certification, or active progress toward certification.
• Experience supporting a Controller or CFO.
• Background in marketing, media, advertising, or professional services organizations.
• Experience preparing sales commissions, bonus accruals, and related reporting.
• Experience supporting audits, lender reporting, financial due diligence, or leveraging AI tools within accounting workflows.
