Company: Authentica Media

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Authentica Media is an award-winning B2B creative video agency specializing in healthcare, medtech, and pharma. We partner with brands operating in highly regulated environments to turn complex scientific and medical ideas into clear, compelling, and well-crafted video content.

Our big hairy, audacious goal: through our video storytelling, we’ll help patients get access to 150 life-changing treatments by 2034, improving quality of life around the world.

Our team works fast, collaborates closely across producers and editors, and sweats the details that make work feel polished and on-brand. We’re deeply curious about science, medicine, and human behavior—and we care about translating that complexity into visual stories that connect with clinicians, patients, and stakeholders alike.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. If you’re excited about the work but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We value skill, judgment, curiosity, and growth potential above all.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a senior motion graphics artist who is exceptionally strong in typography and design fundamentals—and who can work confidently inside dense brand guideline ecosystems. This role is best for someone who enjoys smart, clear communication more than flashy visuals, and who stays calm and flexible through iteration-heavy client feedback cycles.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Build 2D motion graphics primarily in After Effects for corporate, healthcare, and med tech video content
  • Design and animate text-forward frames with strong hierarchy, spacing, kerning/leading, and pacing
  • Translate complex messaging (including charts, data, and technical concepts) into clear, audience-friendly visuals
  • Work from producer-created graphics lists and feedback, then incorporate client notes with precision
  • Interpret and apply detailed brand guidelines beyond just fonts/colors—layout rules, tone, spacing, and overall “feel”
  • Create modular, scalable AE projects that can be revised quickly without breaking structure
  • Package and deliver organized project files (assets collected/packaged) so projects can be reopened cleanly later
  • Collaborate daily with editors (who integrate your graphics into edits) and producers (who manage client feedback)
  • Support increased motion workload as the post team scales

YOU’LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE

  • Advanced After Effects skills and strong 2D motion design experience in corporate/client-facing work
  • A portfolio/reel that includes “boring” corporate work: lots of on-screen text, information design, charts/data, brand adherence
  • Excellent typography instincts: hierarchy, alignment, spacing, readability, and detail-level polish
  • Proven ability to work within strict brand systems and apply brand “feel,” not just rules
  • A flexible, unflappable approach to feedback (including last-minute redesigns driven by stakeholders)
  • Strong judgment and communication—able to flag unclear instructions and ask the right questions early
  • Reliable file management and delivery habits (clean packaging, organized assets, consistent naming)
  • Very strong internet for large media transfers (target: ~1 Gbps download and 100 Mbps upload)
  • A workstation capable of rendering locally (After Effects; and if you work in Cinema 4D, able to render C4D locally as well)

NICE TO HAVE

  • Healthcare, med tech, or broader tech client experience (helpful for interpreting complex messaging)
  • Cinema 4D proficiency (some projects may require it, but it won’t be the bulk of the work)
  • TouchDesigner familiarity for higher-concept projects (occasional)
  • Photoshop/Illustrator comfort for light asset prep
  • Ability to work closer to Pacific or Mountain Time overlap

WHY JOIN THIS TEAM

You’ll join a detail-oriented post team where typography, clarity, and brand craft matter. The work is steady, collaborative, and built around real client needs—ideal if you like making complex information feel simple, clean, and confident on screen.
