Company: Boundless Creative

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Boundless Creative is a video production agency based in New York, crafting premium video content for brands shaping the future. The team has produced work across more than 20 cities in 4 countries, earned awards, and generated over 50 million views. Roughly 80 percent of the client roster sits in tech. The work spans four pillars: commercial and launch films, documentary style brand storytelling, premium video podcasts, and conference and event coverage. A core team of five to six full time people leads the work, supported by a global contractor bench.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This is a motion design role first. We want a 2D motion designer who makes animation look effortless, with real command of After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Figma. You care about ramping, timing, and the small details that separate tasteful animation from animation that is merely correct. You can storyboard an idea in Figma before you animate it, you keep dense After Effects projects organized, and you can make a technical product feel clear and premium on screen.

THE TEAM YOU'LL JOIN

You will be the second motion designer on a core team of six, working directly with the lead motion designer and the creative director. The full time group is small on purpose, backed by a global bench of specialists that scales up per project. That means your work is visible, feedback comes from people who animate themselves, and you have room to shape how a project comes together instead of picking up tickets. There is no layer of account management between you and the work.

TOOLS WE USE

  • After Effects for all motion and animation work
  • Premiere Pro for editorial, multicam, and cutdowns
  • Figma for storyboards, boards, and brand assets
  • Bonus if you bring sound design, 3D, or expressions and scripting to the mix

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Build motion graphics and animated elements including lower thirds, titles, data visualizations, brand elements, and UI animations
  • Animate product demos and UI walkthroughs for technology and software clients
  • Deliver motion for commercial and launch films, branded documentaries, video podcasts, and event content
  • Storyboard new motion projects in Figma before production begins
  • Integrate motion design over live action footage so the two read as one piece
  • Collaborate with the creative director and lead motion designer on early passes and revisions
  • Manage several fast moving projects and deadlines across different clients at once
  • Organize and manage project media and working files so any teammate can pick them up
  • Flex into editorial when motion volume is lighter, including multicam panel cutdowns, rough cuts, and pulling selects, which is how you get into the story earlier and see more of the production process

YOU'LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE

  • Strong command of After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Figma
  • A portfolio of 2D motion work with clean, intentional motion curves and obvious attention to detail
  • Experience animating for technology, software, or AI brands, or clear comfort learning technical subject matter
  • The ability to contribute to storyboards and narrative shaping, not only execution
  • Comfort working inside large, layered After Effects projects without losing organization
  • A working level of editorial skill: assistant editor foundations, rough cuts, selects, multicam
  • Reliability under fast turnarounds, with proactive communication when a deadline is at risk
  • Professional English, written and spoken, for daily collaboration with a small US based team

NICE TO HAVE

  • Light sound design to accompany your motion work
  • 3D animation skills you can bring to projects when they call for it
  • Scripting or expressions experience in After Effects
  • Direct client communication experience inside an agency or production company
