Benefits: PTO and Holiday Calendar + Health, Wellness, Work-from-Home, and Learning Stipends

Company: Fire&Spark

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Fire&Spark is a digital marketing agency focused on driving measurable growth through SEO. The team partners closely with clients to deliver strategic, data-informed solutions that improve visibility, traffic, and long-term performance.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an experienced SEO Strategist who can operate as a true strategic owner—not just an analyst. This role is for someone who can interpret data, form clear points of view, and confidently communicate recommendations in client-facing environments.

You’ll thrive here if you’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, thinking critically in real time, and engaging directly with clients—including senior stakeholders—without relying on scripts or surface-level insights.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Own SEO strategy across multiple client accounts, identifying opportunities and driving measurable outcomes
  • Act as the SEO expert in client meetings, partnering with Project Managers who handle day-to-day communication and coordination
  • Analyze site performance, diagnose issues, and translate findings into clear, actionable strategies
  • Collaborate closely with analysts to guide execution and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Develop and evolve technical, on-page, and off-page SEO strategies aligned to client goals
  • Interpret data using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and Screaming Frog
  • Support internal team members by advising on SEO strategy and best practices
  • Adapt strategies based on performance trends, client feedback, and changing search dynamics
  • Participate in biweekly client syncs, contributing insights and responding to questions in real time

YOU’LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with clear ownership of strategy (not just audits or reporting)
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles, including presenting to and advising senior stakeholders (e.g., CEOs, CMOs)
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to interpret incomplete or ambiguous data
  • Confidence and composure in high-pressure or challenging client conversations
  • Solid technical SEO knowledge (e.g., indexation, site structure, rendering, canonicals, hreflang)
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for analysis and reporting
  • Clear, fluent English communication (written and verbal)
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in an agency environment managing multiple clients
  • Familiarity with link-building strategies and execution
  • Experience working with complex or large-scale websites
  • Background in mentoring or guiding junior team members

WHY JOIN THIS TEAM

You’ll join a highly structured, process-driven SEO team that values rigor, clarity, and quality of thinking. The team is designed to support strong strategists—with Project Managers handling coordination and analysts supporting execution—so you can focus on delivering meaningful strategic impact while continuing to grow.
