ABOUT THE COMPANY
Talent Scout is an operator-led recruitment firm serving U.S. and Canadian digital agencies. We deliver senior-level marketing, creative, and operations talent from Latin America — without compromise.
We are structured, outcome-driven, and built around clear ownership. Our internal standards mirror what we expect from the talent we place: momentum, accountability, and disciplined execution.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re hiring a hands-on Accounting Manager to own the operational accounting infrastructure of the business. This is not an FP&A role or a CFO. While you won’t own long-term financial strategy, you should be comfortable building simple cash projections and translating financial targets into short-term budget guardrails to support leadership decisions.
This is a high-ownership execution role responsible for clean books, reliable reporting, payroll accuracy, disciplined cash management, and multi-entity oversight.
You’ll operate inside a founder-led company that values structure, direct communication, and full ownership from start to finish.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
This role is defined by clear categories of responsibility. You will be the direct owner of:
Core Accounting & Month-End Close
- Day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
- Weekly reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Clean, reliable month-end close completed by the end of the first week
- Accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
- Audit-ready financial records at all times
- Bookkeeping oversight for a second, smaller company entity
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Invoice management inside QBO
- Weekly reconciliation of payments vs. open invoices
- Clear, up-to-date AR aging
- Early identification and flagging of discrepancies
- Collections management and AR hygiene
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Vendor bill management and payment runs
- Accurate expense categorization
- Internal controls around outgoing payments
- Visibility into committed vs. discretionary spend
Payroll Operations
- End-to-end payroll ownership for the internal team
- Coordination of new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and bonuses
- Partnership with providers (Gusto, Deel)
- Proper payroll reconciliation inside QuickBooks
- Clean documentation and payroll accuracy
Cash Management, Distributions & Financial Visibility
- Real-time visibility into cash across both company entities
- Monthly reporting package including:
- Profit & Loss
- Balance Sheet
- AR Aging
- Budget vs Actual
- Monthly Cash Position Snapshot outlining:
- Total cash
- Earmarked reserves (taxes, bonuses, operating reserves)
- Available operating cash
- Build simple 3–6 month cash projections to support short-term decision-making
- Translate financial targets into operational spending guardrails
- Calculate and process monthly owner distributions while maintaining required reserves
- Ensure distributions are properly recorded and reconciled
Leadership should never be unclear about where the business stands financially.
Intercompany & Multi-Entity Accounting
- Manage intercompany transfers and invoicing
- Reconcile intercompany balances monthly
- Maintain clean separation and reporting across entities
Process & Systems Ownership
- Lead a one-time invoicing cleanup and structural alignment
- Document clear, repeatable accounting workflows
- Improve reporting clarity and financial hygiene
- Maintain structured controls that scale with the company

- Hands-on
- Ownership-driven
- Embedded inside the business
- Focused on accuracy, clarity, and disciplined execution
This role is not:
- FP&A
- Strategic financial leadership
- Long-term forecasting ownership

YOU’LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE

WHY JOIN THIS TEAM
