LeadSmith is a performance-driven digital marketing agency focused on turning paid media into measurable growth engines. We primarily serve professional service firms and growth-focused businesses running Meta, Google, and LinkedIn campaigns.

For us, creative is not a “nice-to-have.” It is the primary growth lever. We are building a structured, AI-enabled creative function, and this role is central to that effort.



WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re hiring a hands-on Video Editor who thinks like a marketer.

You will be the primary video producer for the agency — editing, iterating, and shipping consistently — while contributing meaningful strategic input on hooks, angles, and creative testing. This is a doer-first role with strategic influence, not a pure Creative Director position.

You must be comfortable operating independently, taking ownership of output, and improving performance without waiting for detailed direction.



IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Edit and produce paid social video ads for Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Create UGC-style ads, founder-led talking head videos, AI influencer-style content, and motion-based explainers
  • Translate scripts into compelling, conversion-focused video assets
  • Develop structured variation sets across hooks, angles, formats, and CTAs
  • Build and execute testing matrices (Hook × Angle × Format × CTA)
  • Collaborate weekly with Paid Media Managers to review performance and plan iterations
  • Diagnose underperformance (weak hook, low retention, awareness mismatch, offer friction)
  • Produce consistent, high-volume creative iterations without sacrificing clarity
  • Build organized folder systems, naming conventions, and asset workflows
  • Create lightweight SOPs for editing, versioning, and creative testing
  • Integrate AI tools into scripting, voiceovers, visuals, and production workflows


AI integration is a core expectation of this role — not a bonus. We expect AI-assisted scripting, voiceovers, avatars when appropriate, visual generation, and rapid variation testing.



YOU’LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Working knowledge of AI tools such as Firefly, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, VEO-style tools, and similar platforms
  • A clear understanding of direct response video structure (Hook → Problem → Solution → Proof → CTA)
  • Experience working alongside paid media teams and optimizing against metrics
  • Comfort building structured testing frameworks
  • Strong organizational discipline (clear folder structures, naming conventions, asset management)
  • A proactive mindset — you bring ideas, not just deliverables
  • Comfort giving and receiving direct, performance-based feedback


You are immersed in performance creative. You understand what’s working in paid social right now — and you stay current.

  • Creative iteration velocity
  • Improvements in CTR and hook retention
  • Reduction in CPA driven by creative optimization
  • Structured testing implementation and documentation quality
  • On-time delivery and organized asset management


This is performance creative. Results matter.



NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in performance marketing agencies
  • Familiarity with professional service or law firm advertising
  • Experience building creative testing documentation
  • Light graphic design capability (thumbnails, overlays)
  • Experience mentoring junior editors
