What we're looking for 

You’re a Video Editor who wants real ownership, not just tasks. You’ll join a fast-growing US-based education-focused Medicare brokerage that helps people over 65 understand Medicare and Social Security through clear, trustworthy video content.

Your main focus will be YouTube, with secondary support for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. The editing style is clean, simple, and easy to consume, never overly busy or flashy. This role is ideal if you enjoy educational content, can move fast without cutting corners, and feel confident making creative decisions that improve retention and clarity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Edit long-form YouTube videos (20–30 minutes) focused on educational and authority-driven topics.
• Edit short-form vertical videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Shape pacing, structure, and flow to maintain viewer attention and retention.
• Apply a clean, simple editing style that prioritizes clarity over visual noise.
• Add thoughtful visual emphasis (text, punch-ins, overlays, light motion) where it improves understanding.
• Repurpose long-form content into short-form assets across platforms.
• Use an internal tracking tool to download footage, follow notes, upload edits, and iterate based on feedback.

Requirements

• Strong experience editing YouTube long-form content.
• Proven ability to edit short-form content for social platforms.
• Advanced video editing skills with a clean, easy-to-consume style.
• Proficiency with Adobe tools (Premiere Pro preferred).
• After Effects or equivalent experience for overlays and 2D animations.
• Strong English communication and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work at high volume with fast, reliable turnaround times.
• Comfort taking ownership as a full-time, embedded team member.

Nice to Have

• Experience editing educational or technical content.
• Light motion graphics or animation skills.
• Exposure to ad-style editing.
• Experience repurposing content across multiple platforms.
