You will be the go-to technical resource for tagging, conversion instrumentation, and integrations, collaborating with media, CRO, SEO, and account teams to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and actionable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up, audit, and maintain event tracking across client websites (primarily Shopify), including purchase events, checkout steps, and form submissions.
- Install and manage pixels (Meta, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, LinkedIn) and configure conversion events in GA4.
- Build and manage Google Tag Manager containers (web and server-side) and architect data layers and naming conventions across clients.
- Integrate attribution and measurement tools, including Meta CAPI, Google Ads conversions, and Measurement Protocol.
- Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies across ad platforms, analytics tools, and CRMs, and build monitoring to alert on tracking failures.
- Document tracking architecture per client, mentor junior team members, and provide best-practice recommendations to account managers and clients.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience in web analytics, tracking, and tagging roles.
- Deep Shopify expertise, including themes, Liquid, checkout customization, and the Shopify API.
- Experience with WordPress, including tracking implementation and tag management across WP-based client sites.
- Strong Google Tag Manager skills across web and server-side containers, with proficiency in GA4 conversion setup and debugging.
- Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM for data integrations, UTM stitching, and lead source attribution.
- Comfortable writing custom JavaScript and debugging JS-based tags and scripts.
- Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and REST endpoints, with proven ability to manage multiple clients independently.
Nice to Have
- Server-side analytics experience (cloud functions or server containers).
- Node.js or Python knowledge for backend or middleware work.
- Familiarity with attribution modeling, A/B testing tools (Optimizely, VWO), or platforms like Klaviyo, Salesforce, or Marketo.
- Prior agency experience.
Benefits
- Competitive USD salary.
- 100% remote work.
- 20 days of Paid Time Off + US Holidays.
