Location: This is an in-person, field-based role in Anchorage, AK, USA.

Schedule: This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. Flexibility and availability for overtime as needed are required.

About the Job:

As a CDL A Driver, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe and timely pick-ups and deliveries of freight for Odyssey customers. You’ll work closely with Dispatch and operations staff to maintain efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction on every route.

In This Role, You Will:

• Operate company vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
• Read and interpret traffic signs and controls per FHWA regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and report maintenance needs.
• Track and maintain hours-of-service logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Load, stow, and secure freight safely to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
• Review shipping documents to verify accuracy and proper freight segregation.
• Use the correct equipment and follow safe loading/unloading procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience driving assigned trucks in a local environment.
• Valid Alaska Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazardous Materials endorsement.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Clean driving record with a commitment to safety.
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual with the ability to work varying schedules.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Desired:

• Experience operating in Alaska’s unique terrain and climate conditions.
• Familiarity with DOT and FHWA regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
