Location:

This is an in-office/warehouse role based in O’Fallon, MO, USA.


Schedule:

  • Full-time position (average of 40 hours per week)
  • Minimum 30 hours per week required to maintain full-time benefits eligibility
  • Flexibility required, including nights and weekends as needed
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs


About the Job:

As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will assist in managing warehouse and office operations to ensure customer needs are met, safety standards are upheld, and employee productivity remains high. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will guide warehouse employees, provide training, and oversee daily operations including shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Ensure compliance with Odyssey safety standards, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including forklift and crane operations, product inspection, shipping, receiving, and storage.
  • Support the Warehouse Supervisor by communicating adjusted work procedures to meet customer and production needs.
  • Track, monitor, and maintain equipment inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Organize warehouse materials and ensure accurate inventory transactions through scanning systems.
  • Supervise employees, ensuring proper training and adherence to policies.
  • Coach employees on safe work practices and correct unsafe behaviors.
  • Conduct shift walk-throughs, prepare end-of-shift reports, and share updates with management.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for damages or discrepancies.
  • Communicate with drivers to address questions, minimize stress points, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Report incidents, accidents, and disciplinary matters to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Participate in meetings, cross-training, and company training programs.
  • Act as back-up for Warehouse Supervisor during absences.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, metal cutting devices, and RFID scanners.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Desired:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (35+ WPM).
  • Experience with AS400 systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.
