  • Full-time, exempt role with flexibility required based on business needs.



Location:

This position is based in Fife, WA.

Compensation:

Salary range between $85k-109k annually (depending on experience )



About the Job:

The HSSE Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, security, quality, and environmental programs at the site level. You will lead compliance initiatives, conduct audits and inspections, and collaborate with site leadership to promote a proactive safety culture. This role is ideal for a safety professional with strong regulatory knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a passion for risk reduction and continuous improvement.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Implement and oversee HSSE and Quality programs in line with corporate policies.
  • Safeguard compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify risks and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain HSSE policies, SOPs, training programs, and documentation.
  • Lead initiatives to foster a proactive, engaged safety culture across the organization.
  • Provide training in HSSE topics, including OSHA, DOT, IATA, and Hazardous Goods handling.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation, records, and reporting for agencies and audits.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and leadership to ensure safety equipment availability.
  • Support Hazard Communication processes, including SDS management.
  • Assist with facility development and process changes to integrate optimal HSSE practices.
  • Monitor and report safety performance metrics, trends, and corrective action plans.
  • Represent Odyssey with external agencies, auditors, and consultants as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in occupational safety and health operations.
  • Professional certification required: CSP, ASP, OHST, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Safety Management, or Business (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and EPA regulations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in teams.
  • Flexibility to be on call as business needs require.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.

Desired:

  • Experience with Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) programs.
  • Background in quality and environmental compliance audits.
  • Prior experience representing companies in regulatory or third-party audits.
