Location:

This is an in-office role based in Bensenville, IL, USA.


Schedule:

Full-time, onsite schedule supporting daily customer and warehouse operations.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base pay range: $18 – $20 per hour (actual pay may vary by skills, experience, and location)

About the Job:

The Account Representative / Shipping & Receiving Clerk works directly with customers and carriers to manage daily order requirements. This role ensures seamless communication between the warehouse and office, maintains inventory accuracy, resolves service issues, and upholds Odyssey’s commitment to quality and efficiency.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Review daily inbound and outbound order requirements.
  • Process inbound and outbound shipments in company systems.
  • Monitor Customer Order Screens and White Board for accuracy.
  • Track warehouse order flow with Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Communicate daily order needs with customers.
  • Create and transmit Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Correct inventory location discrepancies immediately.
  • Monitor product flow, resolve issues, and maintain service quality.
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize systems including Abecas/Insight, SAP, JDE, and customer/carrier portals.
  • Support bar coding and scanning processes where applicable.
  • Strengthen professional communication skills; bilingual Spanish/English encouraged.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Desired:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to groups.
  • Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios).
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make sound conclusions.
  • Familiarity with Grand Worldwide Logistics Warehouse Management Systems and related customer/carrier systems.
