Location

This is an onsite role based in Fairbanks, AK, USA.


Schedule

  • Monday–Friday day shifts (start times may vary)
  • Overtime and weekend work as needed
  • Occasional out-of-town assignments

About the Job

The Crew Leader is responsible for leading moving crews per job assignment, including driving a moving van or box truck, managing freight pick-up and delivery, and overseeing packing, unpacking, and loading operations. This role serves as the point of contact with customers on-site and ensures all jobs are completed safely, professionally, and on time.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead moving crews on-site, managing workload and serving as the primary customer contact.
  • Drive moving vans and/or 16-foot box trucks to and from job sites.
  • Pack, unpack, load, and deliver freight within the greater Fairbanks area.
  • Review job requirements, confirm packing materials, and ensure readiness before departure.
  • Train and guide team members to meet job expectations.
  • Communicate with dispatch/office staff during assignments.
  • Ensure job site clean-up and return of tools/equipment to the warehouse.
  • Follow TRANSCOM requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain professionalism with customers, coworkers, and the public.
  • Complete required paperwork and communicate issues promptly.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical, 4-panel drug screening, and background check.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with management, customers, and the public.

Must-Have

  • Prior experience in military packaging (or willingness to train starting as a Mover/Packer).
  • Ability to complete paperwork in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to lead crews and train/give direction on the job site.
  • Professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.

Preferred

  • Real ID or valid ID to access military bases/facilities.
  • Knowledge of TRANSCOM requirements and regulations.
  • Previous experience in moving, packing, or freight operations.
