About the Job

The CDL–B Driver will be responsible for assisting with freight loading, pickups, and deliveries to various customer locations. Working closely with Dispatch, this role ensures timely, professional, and safe service while maintaining compliance with DOT and company policies.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Operate vehicles in compliance with traffic laws, FHWA regulations, and company procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report and ensure necessary repairs.
  • Track and maintain Hours of Service logs.
  • Safely load, stow, and secure freight to prevent shifting/damage.
  • Verify shipments against documents; report damages, discrepancies, or shortages.
  • Use equipment for loading/unloading, including forklift, pallet walker, hand dolly, shrink wrap machine, and other tools.
  • Stage freight properly within the warehouse and communicate special handling instructions.
  • Maintain records, load documents, and turn in required paperwork.
  • Review inbound freight documents, unload containers/trucks/trailers/rail cars, and verify counts.
  • Maintain warehouse and yard areas in a clean, safe condition.
  • Comply with all safety policies—safety is our top priority.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of local truck driving experience.
  • Valid Alaska Class B license.
  • Valid Medical Card.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Registered with the US DOT FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse (by time of hire).
  • Reliable and flexible schedule; ability to work overtime as needed.
