This is an onsite role based in Cleveland, OH.


About the Job

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, carriers, drivers, and employees of the warehouse facility. This includes handling inquiries, coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Ensure safe working conditions in the office and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, professional workspace.
  • Manage customer and vendor data in databases.
  • Create and maintain computerized distribution lists.
  • Generate customer inventory activity reports.
  • Create and distribute daily warehouse reports of material to ship.
  • Receive and monitor products in inventory; report levels to customers.
  • Answer calls, assess customer needs, and resolve complaints.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound truck and rail activities.
  • Confirm appointments and verify delivery/pick-up of customer products.
  • Dispatch orders, provide paperwork, and issue instructions to drivers/vendors.
  • Manage customer invoicing and EDI/ASN transmissions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, departments, and divisions.
  • Record incidents, accidents, service failures, and claims.
  • Participate in cross-training and continuing education.
  • Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Typing ability of at least 35 words per minute.

Must-Have

  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, drivers, and internal staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service mindset with problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Associate Degree in a related field.
  • One year of work experience in a similar role or environment.
