About the Job:

The Customer Service Representative is directly responsible for performing service functions for customers, carriers, drivers, and employees of the warehouse facility in a professional and timely manner.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Ensure safe working conditions in the office and adherence to OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean, professional workspace and office environment
  • Maintain databases to ensure accurate customer and vendor information
  • Build computerized distribution lists
  • Create customer inventory activity reports and distribute daily warehouse reports of material to ship
  • Receive product into inventory, monitor levels, and report to customers
  • Assess customer needs, answer incoming calls, and address complaints
  • Schedule inbound and outbound truck and rail activities within systems
  • Confirm appointments, pickups, and deliveries of customer products
  • Dispatch orders, provide paperwork and instructions to drivers and vendors
  • Handle customer invoicing and manage EDI/ASN transmissions and tracking
  • Coordinate with warehouse employees, departments, and divisions
  • Record incidents, accidents, service failures, and claims
  • Participate in cross-training, continuing education, and company meetings as requested
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • Associate degree in a related field (preferred)
  • One year of work history in a similar role and environment (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
