Pay Rate$19/hr

Classification: Nonexempt

Reports To: Warehouse Superintendent

Schedule & Work Environment

CategoryDetailShift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Hours: Expected average of forty (40) hours per week11. Must be flexible for varying hours, including nights and weekends as necessary.

Overtime: No overtime currently, but possible depending on volume.

Work Setup: Onsite, warehouse environment. The job is located indoors and outdoors.


Dress Code

Required: Steel-toe boots (candidate must bring), long pants, and long-sleeved shirt16. Hard hat and safety glasses (PPS) are provided by Odyssey.

Travel: Overnight travel is not required.


Summary / Primary Role

The primary responsibility is to safely manage warehouse inventory through the receiving and shipping processes and the movement of product using forklifts and overhead cranes.


Key focus areas include:

  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Operating cranes (primary equipment).
  • Handling coils daily.
  • General warehouse work & housekeeping.

Essential Functions (Key Duties)

  • Operate remote-controlled cranes and forklifts to safely move product.
  • Follow company procedures for safe loading and unloading of material.
  • Receive and ship product using a handheld scanner for inbound/outbound scan processes.
  • Organize material and inventory within the warehouse.
  • Package steel coils and prepare them for shipment.
  • Perform regular inspection of equipment and monitor fluid levels.
  • Ensure work environment and areas are clean.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role and environment is required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience working in transportation or metals warehousing is preferred.
  • Experience with cranes, forklifts, or tow motors is nice to have.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Skills: Mechanically inclined, Microsoft Office literate 38, must be capable of reading and writing legibly in English.
