Location:

This is a remote position based within the United States.


Schedule:

This full-time, salaried role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week for benefits eligibility, with an expected average of 40 hours weekly. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.


About the Job:

The Sales Manager is responsible for generating new revenue by securing enterprise-level clients and expanding opportunities within strategic accounts. You will identify, develop, and close opportunities for Odyssey’s SAAS TMS solutions and 3rd-party transportation services, acting as a consultative partner to senior decision-makers. This highly strategic role requires a strong hunter mentality, deep logistics expertise, and the ability to communicate Odyssey’s value across diverse industries.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Achieve assigned net revenue goals through profitable new logo acquisition.
  • Develop and execute a targeted sales plan for SAAS TMS and 3rd-party transportation solutions.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline across Odyssey’s full solution portfolio.
  • Apply a consultative selling approach to uncover client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Articulate Odyssey’s strengths in multimodal transportation, technology, and supply chain visibility.
  • Develop strong relationships with executive stakeholders and economic buyers.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, and Executive teams.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to proactively identify opportunities and cross-sell services.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and updates in Salesforce.com.
  • Demonstrate urgency, ownership, and problem-solving to advance opportunities.
  • Partner with Operations, IT, and Pricing teams to align solutions and remove barriers.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and support broader team objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven success selling SAAS TMS solutions to mid-market and enterprise clients.
  • 5+ years of experience in 3rd-party multimodal transportation solutions (TL, LTL, Partial TL, Tank Truck, Expedited).
  • Demonstrated success cross-selling complex logistics solutions.
  • Strong hunter mentality with consistent achievement of sales targets.
  • Expertise in developing innovative, client-focused logistics strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the sales cycle and solution-based selling.
  • Ability to develop financial models and ROI-driven proposals.
  • Experience leading or collaborating on complex contract negotiations.
  • Excellent relationship-building and executive communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical ability, and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, PowerPoint, Excel, and related tools.
  • Comfortable in high-growth, fast-paced environments; self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% for client meetings and business development.

Desired:

  • Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, or supply-chain-intensive verticals.
  • Prior exposure to matrixed enterprise environments.
  • Strong presentation skills with comfort delivering C-suite content.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
