Location:

This is an on-site role based in Fullerton, CA, USA.


Schedule:

This is a full-time role requiring an average of 40 hours per week, with overtime as scheduled. A minimum of 30 hours per week is required to maintain benefit eligibility.


Salary Range - $75k-85k annually depending on experience


About the Job:

As our Senior Accountant, you’ll manage core general accounting functions, support monthly and annual close cycles, and ensure accuracy across balance sheet accounts. You’ll collaborate closely with the Operations Accounting team, support international business unit reporting, and lead or assist in projects that improve financial processes and decision-making. Your work will directly support Odyssey’s financial integrity and operational performance.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accrued expenses.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets ledger and roll-forward, including asset additions and monthly depreciation.
  • Maintain prepaid expense schedules, including monthly amortization and department allocation of new expenses.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts between entities during month-end close.
  • Review operational results and reconcile balance sheet accounts for international business units.
  • Participate in developing reports and projects to improve cash management and support decision-making.
  • Provide supervision, support, and guidance to an offshore accounting team of 2–3 staff members.
  • Assist external auditors by supplying required data and documentation.
  • Lead or support accounting and finance projects under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Accounting.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and prepare variance analyses.
  • Assist in forecasting future financial trends.
  • Prepare and remit various tax filings to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax authorities.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AND PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in general accounting.
  • Solid knowledge of General Accounting Principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to extract data using system queries.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Desired:

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP.
  • International accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting or supervising offshore teams.
  • Experience in the logistics industry.
