About the Job:

The Operations Representative manages day-to-day shipment execution and serves as the frontline point of contact for brokerage customers. This role balances operational excellence with proactive customer service, ensuring shipments move seamlessly while building trust and long-term account success. You’ll perform routine assignments while expanding your logistics knowledge and skillset to prepare for the next level.


In This Role, You Will:

Shipment Execution & Monitoring

  • Manage daily execution of customer shipments, including rating, routing, booking, and tendering
  • Track and trace shipments, updating milestones in the TMS for full visibility
  • Ensure shipment documentation (BOLs, PODs, accessorials) is accurate and uploaded on time
  • Escalate uncovered or at-risk loads to Carrier Sales within 12 hours of pickup

Customer Communication & Service

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment-level updates
  • Proactively communicate delays, exceptions, and resolution plans
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries with a customer-first mindset
  • Support Account Managers in executing customer SOPs and meeting SLAs

Issue Resolution & Escalation

  • Coordinate load recovery for fall-offs, delays, or service failures
  • Escalate service incidents within 15 minutes of identification and provide ongoing updates
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure corrective actions are completed

Accuracy, Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate shipment records and data integrity in the TMS
  • Validate rates, contracts, and routing guides for customer compliance
  • Provide shipment reporting and summaries as requested
  • Support claims and billing discrepancy resolution within defined SLAs

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation operations preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong communication skills with a professional customer service approach
  • Proficiency in TMS platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Desired:

  • Knowledge of LTL, truckload, and multimodal freight solutions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume brokerage environment

Schedule:

  • Full-time, standard business hours (may vary based on operational needs)

Location:

  • This is an in-office role based in Kennesaw, GA, USA
