Location:
This is an on-the-road driving role based out of Memphis, TN, USA.
Schedule:

Full-time position averaging 5 days per week

Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours weekly to qualify for full-time benefits

Minimum of 240 working days per year expected
- Hours are subject to DOT regulations, maximizing available drive time per week
- Some Saturdays may be required depending on customer needs
- Exceptions include customer production schedules, vacation, national holidays, inclement weather, and illness
About the Job:
As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to transport consumer products interstate and intrastate. This role is critical to ensuring timely, damage-free deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and Odyssey company policies.
In This Role, You Will:
- Load and unload, or assist with loading/unloading trailers with product
- Transport products between multiple points while following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Review load assignments, permits, and licenses to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Verify hours of service availability for each trip to ensure on-time delivery
- Properly secure loads in compliance with regulations and company policy; obtain scale tickets when required
- Park equipment in secure, authorized locations per company policy
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections; monitor securement and product condition
- Perform daily checks on oil, water, fuel, tires, and lights; arrange for service and report issues promptly
- Communicate delays, damage, or securement issues immediately to dispatch and safety
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT and company standards
- Operate communication equipment including in-cab eLogs, satellite/dispatch systems, CB radios, and cell phones
- Sleep in the cab of the tractor as required for over-the-road hauls
- Adapt to hauling multiple types of freight; drivers are not dedicated to a single lane or commodity
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:

Requirements:

At least 23 years of age

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)

Minimum 2 years of verifiable over-the-road, interstate, and intrastate tractor-trailer experience

At least 12 months of flatbed steel hauling experience
- No more than 3 moving violations or 2 minor preventable accidents (or combined total of 4) in the past 3 years

Must meet all DOT physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening

No DUI within the past 5 years
Desired:
- Experience with satellite communication devices
- Strong computer literacy
- Cell phone ownership preferred
