Location:

This is a remote position based within the United States.


Schedule:

This full-time, salaried, exempt role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week for benefits eligibility, with an expected average of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.


About the Job:

The Sr Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by acquiring middle market and enterprise clients across diverse industries. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for 4PL / Managed Transportation, 3PL, and Fulfillment solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll leverage deep logistics expertise to cross-sell Odyssey’s multi-modal transportation and value-added services while consistently achieving assigned net revenue targets.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Achieve assigned net revenue goals through profitable new logo acquisition.
  • Design and execute targeted sales strategies that drive new partnerships across Odyssey’s full service portfolio.
  • Build and manage a robust, qualified sales pipeline that supports new logo growth and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach to understand client challenges and deliver tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Clearly articulate Odyssey’s value proposition, highlighting strengths in multimodal transportation, cost optimization, and supply chain visibility.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with economic buyers and executive stakeholders within enterprise-level organizations.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting through solution development, proposal delivery, contract negotiation, and close.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, Executive Leadership, and other internal teams to align stakeholders and manage contractual risk.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity, forecasts, and opportunity records in Salesforce CRM.
  • Demonstrate urgency and ownership in progressing opportunities and resolving client issues.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and other duties as assigned to support company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven success selling Managed Transportation, 4PL, 3PL, and Fulfillment solutions to middle market and enterprise customers.
  • 5+ years of experience in multimodal transportation, including TL, LTL, Partial Truckload, Tank Truck, and Expedited services.
  • 5+ years of experience leveraging Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for planning, execution, optimization, and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cross-selling complex logistics solutions within matrixed organizations.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to develop innovative, client-specific logistics strategies that drive efficiency and results.
  • Experience preparing financial models and ROI-based proposals.
  • Proven success supporting or leading complex contract negotiations.
  • Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen with analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Self-starter comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% as needed.

Desired:

  • Experience selling enterprise supply chain or managed services solutions.
  • Strong understanding of fulfillment and integrated logistics models.
  • Comfort presenting to C-suite and senior leadership audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence across internal and external stakeholders.
